Pam and family, Art and I were shocked to hear of Dulena’s passing. Art had spoken to her not long ago. We would have been at her services had we known.
Your Mom and Dad were dear friends and we were blessed to have them in our lives all these years. Please accept our love and sympathy for your loss.

Pam, Rach, and Jen. Bill and I send our deepest sympathies to you. She lived a long and wonderful life . She was always interested in what everyone was doing, always so kind and friendly. We Always enjoyed her company. I know you all have so many wonderful memories and they will help you get through this sad time.

Pam, Rachel and Jenny, I am so sorry for your loss. Dulena was a long time neighbor and friend, a member of the best card group in town. After I moved to Vermont she made the annual trip up every summer for many years with Kathy, Mary and Vicki. We even made it to Montreal one year. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. When Dulena use to take the bus to Market basket I would talk to her, she was an amazing person, So sorry for your loss.

Dulena's Obituary

Dulena M. (Crowe) Michelini, a lifelong resident of Reading passed away on January 27, 2025, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.  She was 91 years of age.

Dulena was born in Reading, Massachusetts on December 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Howard W. and Elva M. (Bradbury) Crowe.  Dulena was a graduate of Reading High School class of 1952 and worked for New England Mutual Life Insurance Co., Transertron in Wakefield as Librarian, the Village Flower Shop in Reading and as Assistant Educator for the Reading School System.  She was an avid gardener and grew up on a farm in Reading.  She loved westerns and her favorite movie star was John Wayne.

Dulena married her high school sweetheart and Reading Firefighter the late Ronald D. Michelini.  She was also the cherished mother of Pamela A. Smith of Stoneham and loving grandmother of Rachel and Jennifer Smith.

Dulena’s funeral will be held from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am.  Burial will follow at Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.  Funeral Home visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-7pm.  

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Dulena’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children 51 Blossom St. Boston, MA 02114.
