Dwayne's Obituary

Dwayne Andre Crummie was born to the Leroy and Shirley Faye Crummie on May 12, 1956, in Gary, Indiana. Dwayne was the oldest of 5 siblings.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at The Misson of Jesus Christ Church. 

He was a 1976 graduate of Lew Wallace High School. 

He went right on to work for Inland Steel later moving on to Securitas where he worked as a Security Officer for 20 plus years. Dwayne had an undeniable love for music and sports, especially basketball. He was a shining light of humor, wit and laughs from the heart and soul. 

Dwayne Andre Crummie passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 67. We will forever hold his memory near and dear to our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Crummie; mother, Shirley Faye Crummie; brother, Charlton Eugene Crummie.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons Jimmell (Krystal) Crummie of Merrillville, IN, Dominique (Sabrina) Crummie of Merrillville, IN; he help raise Robert Phillips of Indianapolis, IN; and  Bianca (Robert) Rayburn of Portage, IN; three brothers: Leroy (Melanie) Crummie of Hampton, GA, Bryon Crummie of Jonesboro, GA & Troy Crummie of Hampton, GA; 14 grandchildren: Savannah, Alexandria, Amir, Schuyler, Karson-Alexander, James, Lai'La, Lori'el, Szoe, Lyrik, Szia, & Ja'Kai;  honorary brothers: Huey Cooper, Perry Smith, Jimmie Woodley & Robert Reese and a host of family and friends.
