Saratoga Springs NY- Dywana Dean DiPace, 58, of Saratoga Springs, NY, passed away peacefully in her home on July 24, 2025. She was born in Portsmouth, VA, On May 31, 1967, and was the daughter of the late Robert Ward and Mary Mercer. She is survived by her stepfather Steve Franklin and predeceased by her stepmother Lesli Ward.

Dywana was a devoted wife and mother. She loved children and animals and cared for many, even some that were not her own. Dywana and Ben met in Oceanview, VA, on July 19, 1986, while Ben was in the US Navy. They were married on July 19, 1991. She stood by Ben through many deployments during his NY Army National Guard carrier including the tragedy of 9-11 and a year deployment to Iraq in 2004. Dywana accomplished the hardest job in the military, being a strong military wife.

Dywana is survived by her husband of 35 years Ben DiPace and their daughters Staphanie Frazer (Philip Olszewski) and Elaine DiPace (James Allen). Dywana was a devoted grandmother to Aamanda, Nikole and Haile Bechard and Dalton and Zander Allen. She is also survived by siblings Tom, Dawn, and Lena Ward and predeceased by stepbrothers Billy and Jimmy.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11-1pm on Monday, August 18, 2025 at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (518-584-5373). A funeral home service will be celebrated at 1pm.

A committal service will take place at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY at 2pm.
