Earl Grooms, Sr. Obituary
By the life he lived, Earl McCoy Grooms, received the right and privilege to leave this earth and sit in a high place with his heavenly father, God, on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Carlene Grooms, Jr., and a sister, Faye Grooms.
Earl will be sadly missed by his sons, Earl McCoy Grooms, Jr., (Connecticut) and Anthony C. Grooms (Harrisburg, PA); brothers, Roger L. Grooms (Lynchburg, VA), Melvin Grooms (Orlando, FL); sisters, Barbara Green (Maryland), Patricia Wilson (Stuarts Draft, VA), and Evonne Wilson (Maryland). Earl also leaves to mourn seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, along with a dear Aunt, Isabel Washington, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Earl McCoy Grooms graced the life of many near and far and leaves to mourn dedicated friends of whom God has taken note of.
A funeral service will be held 1pm, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Community Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson, Jr., eulogist. Interment will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Coleman Falls. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
