Wow, 12 years! Time flies. Will always remember our National CWOA meetings. Our seats were next to each other and we cut up a lot more than we participated. Hey, we had fun! Miss you Shipmate!

I can't believe its been 12 years already. Earl was one of my bosses in Topeka at PPC. Later in my career Earl and I went to frequent CWOA yearly meetings. We had a few drinks and some great discussions about our time at PPC. He was a great Shipmate.

Kathryn and Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Earl will truly be missed. I first meet Earl at PPC in the S&R branch in the mid 80's, I heard that load roar and said "who is that." Once I started to know Earl I realized he was all bark and no bite. Later he and I meet each year at the CWOA National meetings. We shared some great sea stories and had a few beers. I looked forward to seeing Earl every year at the meetings. He will always be remembered and I will miss him like a Brother. May God Bless you and your family. Wayne Zuehls

Kathryn and Family,
I was saddened to hear of Earl's loss, I saw and spoke with him at the CG Picnic in August, he looked wonderful. Working with him for almost 20 years, we had our ups and down, but he was a great supervisor and great man that I learned to respect. A BIG softee when it came to his family that he truly loved. May he rest in peace and may his memories always bring you comfort. God Bless you, Gina Gutierrez

Kathryn- I am so sorry for your loss. Earl will be missed, very much. I remember the first time I met him, almost 29 years ago, as a young YN3, such an impression he made on me. He was always such a softee for his grand babies. He was for sure all bark, and so devoted to his Coast Guard family. Many prayers to you and your family. May God be with you during this difficult time.

I've know Earl for the better part of 20 years. I have had the pleasure to work with him on several committees in the Chief Warrant Officers Associations.

I always looked forward to seeing Earl at the annual convention of the CWOA and spending time with him catching up on what he was up to and finding out what some of our mutual friends were doing now.

Both my wife, Shirley and I give our condolences to the family and friends.

God Bless!

I knew Earl from the CWOA. He sat to my right (that's just how it fell as we were set by Chapters) every year at the National Meeting. He was a really good guy who kept the meetings lively and I learned a lot about the CWOA and how to participate in the annual meetings from him. I looked forward to every meeting knowing Earl would be there to keep me and everyone else in line. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Shipmate.

I worked with Earl for several years at the USCG office in Topeka. In fact, he was one of the persons who interviewed me for the job. I remember thinking--why is this man with his pronounced "Boston" accent wearing COWBOY BOOTS? What is this? I really enjoyed working with him. He was one of a kind. My deepest sympathy to all of his family for their loss.
