I only met Miss Merle one time at my cousin Scotty Tucker's funeral but she left a lasting impression on me. She introduced herself and kept me at her side the rest of the day as if she had known me all of my life. I could tell she was a very special person. She has a special place in my heart for the way she treated me.

She was our Momma Merle. She never met a stranger and had the patience of Jobe. We'll miss you sweet Merle. You are with Papa Jim now and sweet Rachel. The love will never end...
