Effie Jean Bowman

Effie Jean Bowman 89, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home. She was born May 17, 1929 in Sapulpa, OK to Wiley W. and Mildred (Harris) Adams. She married the love of her life Hazard Bowman on January 1, 1950. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company working in the business office in 1969. She was a devoted Christian. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sisters; Joann Henderson (Carl) and Mary Wells (Rod) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Hazard Bowman parents; Wiley and Mildred Adams, siblings: Donald Adams, Charles Adams, John Adams and sister; Sue Harrington.

Funeral Services will be 10:00am Monday, July 16 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Peter officiating. Interment will follow at the South Heights Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home 1208 South Main in Sapulpa.
