Eli Roknich

Eli Roknich, 87, of Waukegan, IL, passed away peacefully at his home on November 6th 2024. He was married to his wife Patricia for 37 years, and together they raised two children. 

After graduating from Waukegan High School, Eli served in the US Army. He worked as a phone technician and retired from AT&T. He then went on to own and operate multiple successful business’.

Eli was a remarkable husband, A devoted father and he never failed to make his grandchildren smile. He had an inquisitive mind and an unwavering spirit. 

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Hall; grandchildren, Adrianna and Nicolas Hall; brother, Peter Roknich; sister, Donna (Bruce) Brown; sister in law, Sylvia Roknich; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Roknich; parents, George and Sara Roknich; son, Randy Hall; brother, Paul Roknich Sr.; sister in law, Eleanor Roknich; and nieces, Barbra and Sharon Roknich.  

His Wake will take place at Gurnee Salata funeral home from  3-5 p.m. Monday, November 11th, 2024.  4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL.  Followed by the Funeral Service at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Monastery,  at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 12th 2024. Privately officiated by Rev. Peter Sailovic.
