Elizabeth H. (Hopkins) Reich, 63
Leominster- Elizabeth “Beth” H. (Hopkins) Reich, 63, a resident of Leominster passed away peacefully Wednesday evening with her husband by her side.
Beth was born in Torrington, CT, a daughter of the late Norman and Mary (Beaulieu) Hopkins and has lived in Leominster since 1986. She and her beloved husband shared 43 years of devoted marriage.
Beth graduated from Regional #7 High School in Winsted, CT and attended Central Connecticut State College in New Britain. She was employed as an engineering technician at Intel in Hudson, MA after transferring from the DEC facility in Phoenix, AZ.
Beth loved camping, fishing, cooking, rock concerts, Celtics games, and family trips to San Diego and Florida. Despite her illness she devoted considerable time and energy caring for her ailing parents.
Besides her husband Eric Reich, Beth will be deeply missed by her two brothers, Mark Hopkins and his partner Jan Howland of Ledyard, CT and Gary Hopkins and his wife Ann-Marie of Palm Coast, FL; one sister, Mary-Lynn Stewart and her husband Shawn of Lemon Grove, CA; her nieces and nephews; Erica Beth Emel and her husband Jay, Donia, Garann and Tember Hopkins, Matthew Reich, great-nephew Owen Emel, and her many friends and caregivers.
Visiting hours will be held in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Massachusetts Avenue, Lunenburg, on Friday October 6, 2017 from 6 to 8pm and on Saturday October 7, 2017 from 10am to12pm. This will be followed by a brief ceremony at the Funeral Home beginning at 12pm. The Memorial Luncheon will be held on Saturday October 7, 2017 from 1-4pm. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Email [email protected] or call 212-268-1002.
