Ellen Rovin Obituary

Ellen died peacefully Saturday August 28, 2021. Ellen was born in Peonia, Kentucky. She spent the majority of her life in Houston, Texas. She loved her beautifully decorated house in the Bearcreek area.

Ellen always said she prayed for eight children when she was a child, and God blessed her with four sons and four daughters. She loved her children dearly. She cherished decorating her house for Christmas, and having her family over to celebrate. She also loved the companionship of her two precious dogs. Along with Ellen’s eight children, she also had 20 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Ellen cherished her countless lunches with her son Bill and daughter in law Ginette in search for the best burger in Texas along with her many lunches to Carrabba’s with her son Reese where they had their own special booth.

Left to cherish her memory are Ellen’s children, Bill Pye and wife Ginette, Debra Pye, Patrick Pye and his wife Ramona, Sharon Pye, Karen Pye, Reese Pye and his wife Rhonda, Teri Hoffman and her husband Dan Hoffman, and Tommy and Christine Pye along with her sister, Mary Juanity Terlecki.

Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Howard Rovin, her parents Albert James Lush and Lucy Elizabeth Clemens along with eight of her nine siblings.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Grandma, you will be missed oh so dearly! You were always there for all the big functions in our family and it was greatly appreciated! I am glad to have the memories I do with you. But one thing is for sure, Christmas’ will never be the same, “The Game”, will never be the same without you there. Someone always got a gift that was not suitable for them and how it made you light up and laugh always made me smile. Like the one year Erik opened something girly every time! PJ, lotions, a robe I think. I do hope it continues in your memory though! Love you!

How I will miss you. Especially our talks about our Lord and Savior. How happy you must be to be with Jesus and your family that were there to welcome you. You made my lonely days after my mom passing a little more bearable. Thank you for being there for me. Love you my aunt Nora.
