Eloise Hawes Stratton Whitehouse, 98, widow of the late William Wallace Whitehouse, passed away on March 20, 2026, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky. Born March 15, 1928, in Anderson County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Byrd Stratton and Priscilla Jane Riley Stratton.
Eloise was a faithful member of Bellepoint Community Church in Frankfort and a woman of deep and abiding faith. She was a devoted caregiver to her family, whom she loved dearly, and found great joy in caring for them. Eloise enjoyed singing hymns and playing her guitar, and she cherished life on the farm, especially tending to her cattle. In her quiet moments, she also enjoyed crocheting, reflecting her gentle and loving spirit.
Eloise is survived by her daughter, Jerlaine Massengill of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Mechell (Rodney) Milburn, Gina (Sonny) Brinegar, and Felecia Sutton-Hood (Vincent Jordan), all of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; her great-grandchildren, Jessica Dolan, Larissa Pauley, Sonny Dean Brinegar, Dustin Allen Brinegar, Zackory Shepard, Lexi Darnell, and Kaden Darnell; her great-great-grandchildren, Lane, Addison, Dawson, Tucker, Sonny Lee, Jr., and Isabella Rose, expected to be born on May 4; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her husband and parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Billy Massengill, and her great-grandson, Dakota Lee Brinegar.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Pastor F.D. Robinson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be William “Sonny” Brinegar, Sonny Dean Brinegar, Dustin Brinegar, Thomas Pauley, Zackory Shepard, and Zach McCarty. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Milburn and Frank Brinegar.
Memorial contributions in memory of Eloise are suggested to Bellepoint Community Church, c/o Vernon House, 3245 Bardstown Road, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky 40342.

She was always a good woman. I wouldn’t see her for a long time but she always knew me. No mater how many years pasted she always know who I was. She loved everyone. Now you can rest and enjoy our Lord even more than you did here on this earth.
