Elvia Ann Trahan Ceasar, 51, was born in Lake Charles, La., on June 12, 1959, to the late Wilford J. Sr. and Irene V. Trahan. Elvia attended and graduated from Washington High School in 1976 and received a B.A. in paralegal from McNeese State University. She was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Elvia worked as a paralegal and she was part owner of Home Health Care in Houston, Texas and shared ownership with her husband in Global Cleaning Systems of America; she also was the accountant for that business.
She led a dedicated and committed life to servicing her family and those in need. Elvia was christened at an early age at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Later in life, she was baptized and joined First Community Baptist Church. As a member she served as deaconess, Sunday School teacher, member of the choir. Elvia had a strong faith and belief in God. Before her health failed, she faithfully attended church and did as much as her health allowed her to do. She loved her pastor and church family so much!
