Beloved mother of Randal (Barb) Rhodes of Mentor, Rhonda (Randy) Lehto of Medina and Robert (Donna) Rhodes of Shalersville; one living sister, Evelyn Erla Kinsey of Cleveland; 6 grandchildren, Kimberly Stephens, Bryon Posey, William Posey, Craig Posey, Ryan Rhodes and Kevin Rhodes; 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by 4 sisters; Christina Ossler, Dorothy Locke, Mary Turnipseed, Pauline Brown, 4 brothers; Thomas, Lafayette, George and Bill Kinsey.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Ryan Hale officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-5 pm at the funeral home with Eastern Star Services at 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Cemetery Association. To the world you were a tough old bird. You could out-talk and shock the best.
To those of us who are fortunate to be your nieces and nephews, we know a caring person who continued to love her nine siblings and their children – even after moving to “the lights of the big city.”
To me, personally, you are the caring little sister who carried water upstairs in the Stone House to my mother, Pauline, when she was very ill with Tuberculosis. Grandma Kinsey was busy as the Augusta Postmaster and preparing for the birth and delivery of her tenth child, Eb. Mom could always count on Emma.
Godspeed, Emma. We welcome your body Home to the Augusta Cemetery!

Auntie Em was a Gem,she shined wherever she went,you could hear her coming and she always had a smile on her face and something to say,she was never someone to back down or not speak her mind which is something We admired of her.We have wonderful memories of Aunt Emma and it comforts us knowing she is now reunited with her sister Doots,our beloved mother & mother in law & Grandma up in heaven. Our Prayers are with all of Emma's family at this sad time,She is going to be sadly missed by all of us who loved her dearly.
