I ’m Free
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard His call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. O yes, these things too, I will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee... God wanted me now.

Just found out about the death of my good friend. We spent a year together in Korea
and have kept touch in throughout the years, sending the same Christmas card back and forth for over 40 years. I will miss his sense of humor! Rest in peace Felix.

Felix, Monty Gearhart and I enjoyed visiting The Scene near downtown Enid in 1968. Fun times. He perpetually had a smile on his face and was one of the nicest guys you would ever meet. Just found out today about his passing. Will miss you, old buddy.

Felix was, for a time, my husband but always my friend. We spent some good years together and brought an amazing daughter into this world. I will miss you dearly, “Flex.” Rest in power!
