Fern Reemts Obituary
Mrs. Eulalia Fern Reemts long-time resident of Sayre, Oklahoma left this world on Tuesday afternoon, May 14, 2019 and entered Heaven’s Gates to be united with her Lord and Savior in Elk City, Oklahoma. Fern was born January 16, 1936 in Rocky, Oklahoma to her parents Archie and Gladys (Payton) Etsell.
Fern married Mr. Harold Reemts on December 29, 2000 in Sayre, Oklahoma. She and Harold have lived in Beckham County many years. Fern was a loyal and dedicated employee of the Sayre Public Schools cafeteria department. She enjoyed her job and serving the students. Fern owned and operated her own restaurant in Amarillo, Texas as well. She graduated high school from Rocky High School in 1957. She loved her family farm. Fern enjoyed face book as well as texting her family and friends. She was known for her own texting language. Fern enjoyed crocheting but her greatest love and devotion were for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Although Fern is no longer with us, her memory will be kept alive through the family and friends she leaves behind which include her husband of 18 years: Harold Reemts of the home, 3 daughters: Carol McCarther and husband Darrell, Michelle Richmond and husband Dave, Marlis Vermilion and husband David; 1 son: Roy Reemts and wife Rachel; 2 brothers: Ted and Bill Etsell, George her faithful companion, 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren as well as a host of longtime friends, neighbors and church family.
Fern is preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson: Michael McCarther and 1 brother: Ron Etsell
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, May 20, 2019 at Sayre United Methodist Church with Pastor Alex Costea officiating. Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery at 2:00 PM in Clinton, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Rose Chapel, Sayre with family greeting friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Services are under the direction of Rose Chapel, Sayre.
