Florence Zupancic Obituary
Florence M Zupancic, age 93 of Eubank, KY passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at her residence. Florence was born on November 17,1931 in Akron, OH, the daughter of Clarence Heater and Sadie Elizabeth Carr Heater. Florence married John Zupancic and they shared 73 years of marriage prior to his passing on October 23, 2021. A member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church, Florence embraced the role of homemaker and was supportive of her husband’s ministry. She loved her family.
Survivors include one son, Stephen Zupancic (Linda) of Brodhead, KY; her daughters, Mary Dawson (Arthur) of Somerset and Cindy Neeley (David) of Eubank; three grandchildren, Amanda Dawson, Michael Zupancic (Jessica) and Jessica Clark (Jimmy); great-grandchildren, Dwayne Clark, MaKenzie Clark and Cheyenne; one great-great granddaughter, Harley; extended family members, neighbors and friends who are saddened by her passing.
In addition to her parents, Clarence and Sadie Heater; and her husband John Zupancic; Florence was preceded in death by her infant son, John Anthony Zupancic; two brothers, Harold Heater and Frank Heater; one sister, Sarah Slocum; and one infant sister, Claudia Louise Heater.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY 42503. The funeral service for Florence will follow at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 24th at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Burial will be at the Bronston Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cindy and Dave, we will truly miss Florence. She was a light in any room. Her smile was always so warm and welcoming and she could put you at ease in a heartbeat.
