Frances H. Chwastek

1919 - 2016

Frances H. Chwastek, 97, of Kalkaska, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born on January 10, 1919 in Detroit.

Frances is survived by her sons, Larry of Kalkaska and Mike of Arizona; granddaughters, Rebecca (Brian) Barber and Christine Chwastek; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Gauge, Brian, Breanna, Eva, Autumn and Dylan.

Frances was a devoted member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. She also enjoyed cooking, pontoon rides on the Manistee Lake, and her adored granddaughters and great-grandchildren.

Proceeding Frances in death was her beloved husband, Raymond in 1991; her son, Zane in 2015; daughter-in-law, Lynn Chwastek; and all of her siblings.

Visitation will be in Tuesday, August 9th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the scripture service starting at 7:00 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday at St. Mary of the Woods with Reverend Norman Dickson, S.J. officiating.
