Frank C. Sylvia, 75, of Merrimack passed away on Sunday, October 17th, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. It brought great comfort that he continued to have his sense of humor till the very end.
He was born in New Bedford, MA on September 27th, 1946 to the late Laura (Cotta) and John Sylvia, Sr. He was raised and attended schools in New Bedford, MA.
Frank served in the U.S. Army and upon an honorable discharge, he worked as a truck driver for most of his adult life. He worked for Marvel Glass, Hammer Hardware out of Merrimack along with Purity Supreme, and Old Colony Trucking out of Massachusetts.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed woodworking, watching car racing, watching his grandson Jordan play Football and enjoying his old El Camino that he restored.
Along with his parents, Frank was pre-deceased by his brother, John Sylvia, Jr.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 25 years, Susan (Haney) Sylvia, daughter Kimberly and her husband Manuel Miranda, Sr.; two sons, Edward and Jason Rainville; 12 grandchildren, Jordan, Manny Jr., Tony, Joshua, Brandon, Taylor, Carrie, Brooke, Justin, Gregory, Ava and Ethan; 4 great-grandchildren, Dylan, Maria, Gage and Myla along with a nephew, Wayne Sylvia and his wife Kendra.
