Frances “Frannie” Medrano nee Derick, age 78, late of Griffith formerly of Avalon Park/Grand Crossing. Beloved wife of the late Richard Medrano. Devoted mother of Ron and the late Brian Karulski. Loving and proud buscia of Colton and Teya Karulski. Survived by many cherished cousins, and friends, including her extended Janusz family, especially life long dear friend and sister Bette (nee Janusz) Ziegler and her children, Wendy & Howard Ziegler. Loving companion of furry four legged friends Blueberry Frances and Ginger Snap Lynn. Retired from River Oaks Sears with over 33 years of dedicated service and Strack & Van Til. Avid Chicago White Sox and Bears Fan, as well as Nascar. Graduate of CVS. Frannie loved being a buscia, playing cards with friends, baking, and cooking. Visitation Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 15801 S. Cottage Grove Ave., four blocks North of 162nd St. (Rte. 6) Dolton/South Holland. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the family

We are so deeply sorry about the passing of Fran. She was the best Sister-in-law and Aunt that anyone could have. We will miss her so much, but one day we shall meet again. GOD gained another Angel. Now Fran,Richard and Brian can rejoice together. We love you to the moon and back ♡♡♡♡

Ron we are so sorry for the loss of your dear Mom. Many prayers during this difficult time. Fran will always be remembered as a very compassionate and caring person with always a smile to share or a hug to give. She has been part of our family for over 40 years and we will miss her greatly!
