Fred Phaby Obituary

SSGT Fred L. Phaby USMC Ret. died at home on August 27, 2021. Born in Moultrie, GA on January 15, 1944, he grew up in California, joined the military at age 17, and retired from the US Marine Corps after 20 years of service, which included two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, building and collecting model airplanes, and playing with his dogs. Fred loved the Lord and was a founding member of Creekside Messianic Fellowship.


Fred is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Phaby; three sons: James (Jayne) Phaby of Camano Island, WA, Neil (Michelle) Phaby, and Leon Phaby, both of Garden Valley, CA; six grandchildren; one brother, Michael (Sherry) Eales of Amarillo, TX; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.


A memorial service will be held September 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at Creekside Messianic Fellowship, 1191 E. Church Street, Jasper, GA.

We were honored to be called friends by Fred & Linda. Fred’s love of God and the nation of Israel were always an inspiration. We mourn our loss of him but we rejoice that his earthly trials are over and he is present with the LORD. We extend our deepest sympathies to Linda and all Fred’s family.
