Gail Coffey passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2022, at her home in
Bedford Village New York after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Long
Island, New York, in 1952 to Rose and Leon Levine.
Gail earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Queens College,
C.U.N.Y.
She and her husband, Ralph, and their son, Luke, moved to Bedford in 1996. She
was an executive at J.P. Morgan Chase where she spent most of her career.
She is remembered as a warm, loving and generous friend who welcomed many
to her home not only for holiday celebrations but for long periods of time,
becoming a second home to them.
Gail loved going to the theater, arts and crafts shows, and Yankee games. She
loved to read, and made many friends when she joined the local historical fiction
book club. Christmas, Easter and Halloween were her favorite holidays.
As a loving wife and mother, she always put herself second to the needs of her
family.
In addition to Ralph and Luke, she is survived by her two sisters, Jean Waterman
and Paula Simon, her brother-in-law John and sister-in-law Kathie, her nephews
Adam and Nicholas, her nieces Anna and Carolyn, her Godmother, Patricia Curley,
and her Goddaughter, Meagan Adams.
Family and friends are invited to Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Directors, 288 East Main

It’s saddens me greatly the such a warm family such as Gail, Ralph and Luke have been suffering. I have fond memories of you all from Bedford Village. I wish for you peace, to hold your memories close and the strength to envision Gail among you each day and smile because she was special.

Uncle Ralphy and cousin Luke, we are so sorry to hear about Gail. As a young girl, I fondly remember the stories of travel and adventure she told of while visiting us in NC. She will be remembered with love, smiles and laughter. Sending love, light and prayers to you both and all that loved her.
