Gavin DeCormis Obituary
Gavin DeCormis, 20, departed this world Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Gavin's friends have graciously described him as honest, joyful, and free-thinking. He loved all of his friends. He was a reflection of them as much as they are of him. Gavin is also remembered for his sharp-witted and genuinely funny one liners which were often followed by his charming smile. He had a great sense of humor. He was thoughtful, caring, and loyal to family and friends alike. He enjoyed spending time talking about the hardships of life as much as he enjoyed joking about the funnier moments with everyone around him. He was fun loving and easy-going but also adventurous.
When Gavin wasn't studying his courses at Del Tech or working with Delaware Heating & Air Conditioning Services, he also enjoyed his time at the beach or snowboarding. He loved snickerdoodle cookies. Gavin was a car and motorcycle enthusiast as well. His BMW in particular was special to him. Gavin was at the very beginning of what should have been the rest of his life. He was taken from us too soon. We know we'll see him again and he'll probably have a funny comment and snickerdoodle cookie waiting for all of us. Because that was our Gavin.
Gavin is survived by his mother, Danielle DeCormis Lloyd (Mark) of Middletown, his father, Luis Rodriguez (Jennifer) of Middletown, in addition to his siblings, Adrian and Olivia Rodriguez and Jaxen Lloyd. Further bereaved relatives are his grandparents, Nancy Graybeal of Wilmington, Joseph DeCormis of Missouri, Angel and Ann Rodriguez of Wilmington, and Evelyn Rodriguez of Wilmington. Extended members include the Greenamoyer and Lloyd families, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held on Monday, October 25th at Connection Community Church, 4744 Summit Bridge Rd., Middletown, DE 19709. Family and Friends may visit from 5-7 pm, the service will begin at 7 pm. Burial will be private.
