We met Gene and Wanda shortly after moving to Ridgecrest and we knew right away that they were the sort of folks that we would like to be friends with. Gene was a fine friend and a very good man. His humor and wit made everyone happy to be around him. He had a talent for stirring the pot - in a good way - and will be fondly remembered by us all. You will be missed Gene.

As a neighbor, Gene will be truly missed as I could always look out the window and see him tinkering with something. Wanda, rest assured, I will watch for your light in the morning as you watch for mine. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
