George Robinson, Jr. Obituary

George Anthony Robinson, Jr. was born on May 25,1952 to the union of George Anthony Robinson, Sr. and Barbara Freeman in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the first born of many siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Kareem Hurley, Sr., one brother Stevie Robinson, two sisters Laura Ann Allen and Wanda Dennis.


George started laboring in the work field at the age of 14. Over the span of his life, he had many jobs.  He loved being employed by Jimmy Woodley at Woodley Building Maintenance. At this job, George would meet the love of his life, his wife Joyce Robinson.  He was happily to Joyce for 27 years.


George loved to shop and he loved to listen to his old school music.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren.


George was a loyal, kind, sweet spirit, loving man. He loved his family. He was a “one in a million” husband whom every woman would love to be with.  He was loved by everyone that knew him.  He touched many lives and he will be missed by many.


George leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Joyce Robinson; five daughters Sekica Sanders (Timothy), Preshish Elbert, Ashley Harris ( Allen), Erica Shaw (Raymond), Keisha Council; four sons Preston Robinson, Stacie Robinson, George Clark, Derrick Council; six sisters Rita Buchanan, Fostina Spencer, Shavon, Belinda Hughes (Mark), Carmen Robinson, Brenda Byers; four brothers Malcom Robinson ( Vernice), Keith Robinson, Bobby Robinson, James Robinson; one uncle Henry Daniels; mother-in-law Lovie Council; two brother-in-laws Lee Council, Johnny Council; one sister-in-law Janice Jefferson; a host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
