George Tricarico Obituary

SEYMOUR: George Tricarico, age 77, peacefully entered eternal rest in the early morning hours of February 13, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Center in Trumbull.

George was born in Bronx, NY on August 15, 1947, son of the late Armand and Evelyn Hanna Tricarico. He lived the majority of his life in Seymour before moving to North Fort Myers, Florida. He had recently returned to Connecticut to enjoy more time with his family. George was a 1966 graduate of Bullard Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport and always fondly recalled his mischievous days there with fellow classmates. He was a self-employed talented cabinet maker who took great pride in his work and continued the pursuit of his craft through his many years in Florida. Having a great voice, “Georgeo” loved to sing Karaoke and had been professionally recorded with the help of his friends in the Karaoke scene of Southwest Florida. He was always a braggart with regards to anything about his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Glenn A. Tricarico (Genie) of Seymour, daughters, Kelly Tricarico (Krissy Aguayo) of Sacramento, CA, and Elizabeth Molcyk of Prospect, a sister, Carolyn Zenhye of SC, grandchildren, Hannah, and Julia Tricarico of Seymour and Jace, Kole, and Leighton Molcyk of Prospect, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Frank and Joseph Tricarico and a sister, Ella Busso.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate George’s life on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. My brother George, later known as Georgeo, was a character. Some people remember our dancing in our youth but everyone remembers his singing! To me he was my hero, and truely the wind beneath my wings! He will always be in my heart and I will miss him dearly.

I met George when his son Glenn married my daughter Genie. He was quite a guy. He loved to sing and you always knew when he was coming you would hear him whistling.I had the opportunity to go to Karaoke with him. Everyone loved his singing.I even got up and sang it was quite scary but we had fun. Will certainly be missed by me and Norman.

George could find fun in any situation. I remember his wedding where he brought down the house, singing for everyone's entertainment. What a character he was!
