Gino Ramiro Bermeo passed onto a new adventure peacefully in his home on the morning of Thursday May 16th, 2024.
Gino had three big loves in his life: His Liga (Ecuadorian Futbol league), his 1971 blue and white VW Bus, and most of all his family. He was a sweet and fun loving human being who was always the life of the party. His friendly nature meant he could meet and talk to literally anyone. He made friends with strangers that sat next to him at the bar, strangers he would meet at various classic car shows, and even the town mayor of Sanger. You never saw him without a smile on his face, even during his final days.
His love for soccer and his country of Ecuador took him to Germany and to Brazil where he created memories that will last a lifetime with his brother, nephew and friends. Gino was an adventurous man who was unafraid of traveling the world and seeing new places. He had traveled alongside his family to France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Ghana, the Galapagos Islands, and Punta Cana just to name a few. He left his family with so many memories and wonderful pictures of all of their many adventures.
He is preceded in death by his father Julio Anival Bermeo. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Sonia Bermeo, his daughter Gianna, his son Chris, and his stepdaughter Jessica. He is also survived by his loving mother Victoria Bermeo and his two brothers Julio and Hernan and their families. He will be greatly missed by his entire family.

I met Gino at CFR. He had been a logistics professional for decades and I was practically a kid who knew nothing. Gino was always willing to share his expertise, to help and to connect me with the right people. I'll never forget his "What's up, señor?" every time I stopped by his office to say hi. When we had office gatherings, Gino was the soul of the party, dancing, having fun and being the happy guy that he was. I have not seen Gino in many years, but the news of his passing have saddened be greatly. Rest in peace, Gigi (as I called you). Much love!

My Dear friend Gino, i have some wonderful memories of our first meeting 27 years ago at CFR. We had many laughs and lots of fun over the years. Even though we lost touch some years back when you moved to Northern California, i still thought of you as a good friend and a wonderful man. I send my condolences to Sonia and the rest of the family. All My Love Gino, and I know your strong faith has taken you to a good place. Miss you Amigo xx

The obituary captured Gino perfectly in a nutshell. He always had a positive disposition on life & a smile on his face. He helped mentor me and gave me an opportunity to grow.
He loved his family and always glowed whenever talking about his girls, wife, and son.
I will have a lot of fond memories of him — especially when we randomly ended up in Rome at the same time. I’m grateful I got to know you & your family. You will be missed, G.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Gino, but knew about the love he had for his family. I wish you all peace.
