Glenna Fay (Bogan) Jarratt, 54, of Bracey, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2025. She went peacefully after a courageous four year battle with multiple myeloma and plasmablastic lymphoma.Born on December 28, 1970, in Richmond, Virginia, Glenna was the daughter of the late Larry Otis Bogan,Sr. and the late Eraina Fay (Strickland) Bogan, and the stepdaughter, of Peggy Bogan, who survives her.
Glenna was a devoted wife of 34 years to her husband, Shawn Wade Jarratt, Sr. She was the loving mother of Michelle Ellett (Nick) and Shawn Wade Jarratt, Jr. Also, the proud “Meme” to her three precious grandchildren – Ronnie Lee Williams III, Brooklynn Michelle Williams, and Ember LeighAnne Ellett – who brought so much joy and light into her life.
She is also survived by her brother, Larry Otis Bogan, Jr. (Shannon) and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Glenna’s world revolved around her family, and she loved nothing more than spending precious time with them.
Glenna was truly one of a kind – the life of the party, full of laughter, warmth, and light. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed, seen, and loved. Her joyful spirit could brighten any room, and her fun-loving nature made her the heart of every gathering.
Throughout her battle with cancer, Glenna showed remarkable courage, grace, and strength. Her faith in the Lord never wavered, even on her hardest days. She was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know her. Though her life here on earth has come to an end, her spirit, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. We find peace knowing she is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father,
healed and made whole again.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” -Psalm 73:26
To honor Glenna’s beautiful life, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., November 15, 2025 at Southside Baptist Church, 303 Wells Sttreet, LaCrosse, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help support and assist her husband, Shawn, as he continues to raise their son, SJ, and navigate the days ahead. We thank you for your love and support. (https://gofund.me/b03276838).

I only knew Glenna through being friends with her daughter Michelle, My family and I knew Glenna a few years, but in those few years she was always so proud of her family and talked so highly about her daughter and how much she loved her grandchildren and son in law. I never saw her without a smile. She was loved. Heaven gained another angel and that is something to celebrate in this time of sadness.

Glenna became a second mom to my son Austin, SJs best friend. She had a special way with him that I will forever cherish! She brought a light into our lives, and loved Austin just as her own! I loved her for that and many other reasons. I only wish I knew her longer! I will forever be grateful for the time we were allowed to love her! I will miss you my friend. Austin says "I know when I need to talk you will still listen" and I made a promise to you to look after SJ as one of my own! Your "second son" loves you and will still chat! Until I see you again my friend! Love you!
