Gomer Kenneth Justice, 86, passed away in the early morning of November 14, 2025, at his home in Jamestown, Indiana. He was born on December 19, 1938, in Pikeville, Kentucky, a son of the late Lawrence and Myrtle “Mirdie” (Anderson) Justice.
In April 1957, he was united in marriage to Jackie Kathryn (Abshire) Justice. She preceded him in death on December 8, 1998.
He retired from Allison’s Transmission
Gomer was a member of the National Shoot to Retrieve Field Trial Association & United Auto Workers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who cherished his family.
Survivors include his two daughters, Sheila K. Hubbard and Janet S. (Jim) Blankenship; grandsons, Jeremy Hood, Johnathon (Erica) Hood, and Cory Bartlett; granddaughters, Naomi (Nathan) Hill, Shannon (John) Riegle, and Michelle Bartlett; fourteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and sister, Lucretia Morrow.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Gomer was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Sarah Buckley (Naomi’s daughter); brothers, Chester and Gether Justice; and sisters, Edith Sloane, Augustine McCurry, and Josephine Estep.
Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Porter and Hunt Funeral Home, 315 West Main Street, in Jamestown, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown.
