Grayson Billy Blevins of Konnarock, Virginia passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 18, 2023.

He was born September 30, 1934 in the Briar Ridge region of the Whitetop community to the late Jont and Edith Eldreth Blevins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Clara Jean Blevins, a son in law Johnny Hensley, brothers Benn, Lynn, Norman, and Bartie Blevins; sisters Geneva Shepherd, Reva Trivett and Jettie Yeatts.

Grayson had a great love for outdoors.  He enjoyed gardening, farming and caring for farm animals and as well he was an avid bee keeper.  He loved gospel and bluegrass music and was very talented playing the banjo, guitar and mandolin.  But his greatest love was for his Lord and his family.  He gave of himself endlessly to help his family, his church and his neighbors when needed.  He will be greatly missed.

In the early 60's I spent several wks. in Konnarock with my Aunt Carry. I was 12 yrs old. To this day, I remember that summer so well. You and Lala were so much a part of it.
Grayson and Lala were operating the old Lee Waters' store and I spent time visiting with them when I would go down there and collect my Aunt's mail.
They were always so good to me and I loved being around them.

It has been too long since I last saw them. Life has a way of doing that. We get caught up in too many things of the world and everyday living. But.....
Ms. Lala , Sheila and Missy. I can assure you I will never forget the laughter, and fun times and most of all the "friendship" you shared with that 12 yr old girl.

Grayson Blevins, I know you are in a place of perfect peace and harmony. You fought a good fight and you finished your race. You have already accomplished one thing so many us long for...you have met our Savior. How precious that must have been.
Roscoe and I are thinking of all of you.
Love and prayers surround you

Grayson was a perfect example of a Christian, my son told me once that he had never heard Grayson say a harmful word about anyone. He loved the Lord and it showed in his actions. My thoughts and prayers are with this family. I love you sweet Sierra and Shelia and Jeremy, he loved you and he will be missed.
