In loving memory of Gregg Norman Hellerud who passed
away on September 9, 2021 after a courageous and valiant fight with cancer, surrounded by loved ones at age 56.
Gregg was born on November 13, 1964 to parents Norman and Barbara Hellerud in Torrance, California. He grew up in Midway, City, Fountain Valley, and El Segundo, loving the outdoors dirt bike riding, camping and going to the beach. After graduating high school, Gregg worked at Chevron Fire Department, and then went on to discover his passion of rope and confined space rescue. Gregg committed himself to safety training for much of his career. Making friends wherever he went, he touched the lives of many by teaching and mentoring across disciplines over the course of his life. Gregg is remembered as a gentleman with a keen sense of humor, a passion for music, and love of animals and golf.
Gregg leaves behind son, Bradley; parents Norman and Barbara; sister Kimberly (Boles); nieces Brianna and Megan; nephew Brett; and many, many colleagues and friends.
