Sorry to the family he left behind. It is very sad. I only knew him for a short time, but I know he loved his children very much.

Gregory Dean Tomlinson, Jr., 33, of Topeka, died June 22, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.He was born in Topeka, Kansas on May 24, 1982, the son of Gregory and Stephanie (Garcia) Tomlinson. Greg worked as a cook and previously worked for R and H Concrete. He loved children, especially spending time with his daughters and his nieces and nephews. He was very proud of his girls. Greg was always lending a helping hand to those in need, even to a stranger. His faith was important to him and he expressed this to his family and friends often, especially when someone was in need. He is survived by his fianceé, Brittany Obrosky, his daughters: Melosa Tomlinson and Maliciana Tomlinson, both of the home, his mother, Stephanie Garcia-Lopez (Jose) of Topeka, his father, Gregory D. Tomlinson, Sr. (Caroline) of Brownstown, Illinois, maternal grandmother, Nancy Wright of Shelbyville, Indiana, paternal grandfather, Frankie Tomlinson of Gardner, Kansas, two sisters: Laura Teran of Topeka, Rachel Tomlinson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, four brothers: Matthew Teran, Christopher Teran, Jeremy Tomlinson, all of Topeka, and Matthew Tomlinson, of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Several aunts and uncles also survive.Greg will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 26th, at 10:00 a.m. at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Gardens.Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Valeo Foundation and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
