Hansley Lord, Sr. Obituary
Hansley Joel Lord, Sr. age 93 died Friday April 17, 2009. Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at the Toomsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lord was a native of Laurens County but made his home in Wilkinson County. He was retired from Evans Clay Company and was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Toomsboro Baptist Church for over 65 years where he served as Deacon Emeritus.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years Margaret Tompkins Lord of Milledgeville, his son H. J. Lord, Jr. (Charlotte Smith) of Toomsboro, two granddaughters Sonya Moore (Greg) Gainesville, and Lynn Parrish (Jimmy) of Cumming, four great grandchildren Alex Moore, Griffin Moore, J.P. Parrish and Sydney Parrish.
The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM.
