Harold had many hobbies, including mechanics, wood and metal working, beekeeping, and clock repair. He loved working in his yard and was very proud of his ability to grow beautiful weeping willows. He loved to tinker in his shed and was a collector of noisy clocks and Looney Tune cookie jars.
At 89, he still enjoyed a good episode of Looney Tunes, Andy Griffith, and Gunsmoke; while having most episodes memorized. If you knew him well, you knew not call while Chicago PD, Med or Fire were on or if the St. Louis Cardinals were playing.
Harold was a life-long member of the Church of Christ at Cape Fair, MO and was a Godly example to his family and friends. We will miss his humor, wit, beautiful smile and thrown-back-head laugh.

I apologize but I just now saw PNut’s obituary. He and Dot were good people who we enjoyed seeing at the TeSpazio Cafe and later The Farmer’s Daughter. I enjoyed getting to continue our friendship after my husband went to be with Jesus. I moved back to Nebraska which is why I missed hearing that PNut is with Jesus. Prayers to Dot and his family. Peanut will live forever in my heart. My mom married Harold when I was pretty young. At least 3 times a week in the summer I went patrolling the parks with him. We used to stop at McDonald's on the way to Indian point and get a shake in french fries and he taught ht me how to dip my french fries in the chocolate shake which was very good by the time we got to Mill Creek. Our shakes were drank. Our fries were eaten. Sometimes we would stop again on the way home.
