CW5 (R) Harold Dwain Reynolds, 83, passed away on November 25, 2025, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born in Washington County on April 21, 1942, Harold was the son of the late John Walter (J.W.) Reynolds and Alice Lanham Reynolds.
Harold served a distinguished career as a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard from 28 June, 1960 to 30 April, 2002. Reaching the rank of Command Chief Warrant Office 5 upon his retirement. He was the first CW5 appointed in Kentucky. He worked for the National Guard as a Civil Service Technician for over 39 years. He always felt is was such a privilege to serve and be a part of the National Guard Family.
Harold also enjoyed serving as a Realtor and Auctioneer for 50+ years. Harold was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church and was a Mason in the Hiram #4 Lodge for over 50 years. Harold left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Including his wife, Michele, Harold is survived by his son, Jeff Reynolds (Julianne) and daughter Wendie Lyons (Steve), both of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Avery Reynolds, Reece Reynolds, Hayden Lyons, and Macie Lyons. Harold is also survived by his siblings Bobby Reynolds, Glenna Hall, Bruce Reynolds (Sue), Bonnie Osbourne (Tom), Foster Reynolds (Debbie); sister-in-law Dana Gates; and many nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by a sister-in-law; Betty Reynolds and a brother-in-law, Bill Hall. Harold cherished his family and friends and his memory will be treasured by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at Sand Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 3:00 PM. Dr. Mike Hamrick and Col. (Ret) Bill Draper will lead the service.
