Harvey Leo Masty

1943 - 2025

Harvey L. Masty, age 81, of Manistee, MI, died Friday, May 30, 2025 at Paul Oliver Longterm Care and Rehabilitation Center in Frankfort, MI.  He was born August 11, 1943 in Flint, MI son of the late Andrew J. and Victoria (Caban) Masty.  Harvey proudly served his country as member of the United States Army where he was awarded badge of Sharpshooter (Rifle M-1).  He served during the Vietnam War from April 12, 1962 until his honorable discharge March 31, 1968.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 PM  Friday, June 6, 2025 at Divine Mercy Parish (St. Joseph Church) of Manistee with Rev. James Bearss celebrant.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery also in Manistee where members of the Manistee County United Veterans Council Ritual Team will present graveside military honors.  The family will be at the church 2 hours prior to the funeral Mass Friday to receive friends.
