Hazel Getkin Obituary
Hazel B. Getkin, 88, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Mrs. Getkin was born April 17, 1929 to the late Cecil and Lucile Bostick in Potsdam, New York. She served her country in the U. S. Air Force and was a life time member of the Order of the Eastern Star # 96 Parker, FL. She was a long time employee of Bay District Schools serving as cafeteria manager to numerous schools.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert C. Getkin and all of her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Getkin is survived by a daughter, Luanne Getkin; a son, Michael W. Getkin (Pam); grandchildren, Courtney Getkin Giles (Jonathan), Cody Tyler Getkin; great grandchildren, James Giles, June Giles and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life with Eastern Star and Military Honors will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Those so desiring may contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.

My love goes to the family of Hazel Getkin. Hazel was a strong lady that made this world a better place. She lost her beloved husband nearly 40 years ago, but she continued to care for her great family. She was tough but a gentle and compassionate person. Hazel has a great family and I Love them all. I plan to see Hazel in Heaven.
