HELEN BONNO

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Bonno (née Geiger) on Monday, December 1, 2025. Born on November 23, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in Westside, Helen lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to family and friends. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Helen will be remembered for being the life of the party- nothing truly began until she arrived. Her awkward jokes and straightforward way of telling you exactly how it was, or how it was going to be, made her unforgettable. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A devoted woman, Helen was deeply involved in her community and family, She was honored as Woman of the Year by the Forest Park Community for her involvement in several athletic activities, the PTA, and as President of the Forest Ridge Women’s Club. Professionally, she worked as an Office Manager at the Flaming Pit, Apartment Manager for Cypress Way Apartments, and in concessions at Glenview Golf Course. Helen enjoyed hosting parties, crafts, and home improvements, and spending time at her flea market booth at Turtle Creek Flea Market.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen (née Fortunato) Geiger, four brothers, two sisters, Jim Bonno, and James E. Butler.

She is survived by her brothers, Donald and Richard Geiger. Children: Lonnie (Pat Bischoff), Danny (the late Tina), John (Sherry) Butler, Tony (Shannon) Bonno. Grandchildren: Charlie Butler (Matt Foster), Kennedy (Tyler) Meyer, Danny Butler, Tasha Butler (Joseph Lynn), Stephanie (Chadrick Siegler), Boomer, William Butler, Britney (Griffin Stevens), Justin, and Tyler Bonno. Great-Grandchildren: Sofia, Jade, Alana, Carley, Ryan, and Brooklyn, and many other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home 5527 Cheviot Road (45247).  Entombment to follow at Baltimore Pike Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helen’s name to the SPCA of Cincinnati.
