Helen Scott Obituary
Helen Pearl Scott 99, passed away March 26, 2026 at Tender Touch Heart & Home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was a native of Reynolds County, Missouri having been born in Centerville. She resided in Warren County MO, for 55 years before moving to Elizabethtown, KY, to be closer to her daughter and family.
Helen was united in marriage to Alvin Scott on December 31, 1945 in Centerville. They celebrated 66 years together, before his passing in 2012. This union was blessed with two children, Richard and Lizabeth. Helen became a Christian at the age of 9 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville, MO, for 16 years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Berkely, MO, for 7 years, First Baptist Church of Wright City, MO, for 27 years, and later joined Fellowship Baptist Church of Warrenton, MO, in 1986. She taught Sunday School at these various churches for well over 30 years. Helen and her husband, Al, enjoyed vegetable gardening and growing flowers for many years as well as traveling out west. They enjoyed the beauty of our country and visiting with relatives.
Helen Scott was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Scott; her son, Richard D. Scott; parents, Roy and Bessie (nee: Larkin) Hartman, as well as four siblings and their spouses, Maxine Sparks (Alvin), Roy Hartman, Jr. (Margie), Colleen Botkin (Bernell) and John Hartman (Pat). Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lizabeth Linnenbringer and husband, Gary; two granddaughters, Julie Napper and husband Drew, Amy Wilson and husband Eric; three great - grandchildren, Catherine Wilson, William Napper and Emily Napper; along with several nieces, nephews and their families.
Visitation for Helen Scott will begin at 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Wright City Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to Fellowship Baptist Church of Warrenton, MO. Online condolences may be given at martinfuneral.net

Helen was one of the sweetest people I have ever met!!! I was lucky to get to know her from Fellowship Baptist Church!! Al and I were also St. Louis Cardinal Buddies! I have truly missed her and her phone calls. She will be remembered forever as a true believer in God and having a heart of GOLD! I love her very much and will always remember her fondly!!
