Hilda Susanna Jamison

Praise to Thee, Oh God of the Universe!

Our Dear Hilda went to meet her Lord on March 23.

Hilda Susanna Jamison nee Schmidt, age 98, passed away peacefully at home.

Hilda served her Lord as a church organist for fifty-eight years. Wherever she lived she found a church home in need of her talents. Hilda’s professional career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist brought her joy and satisfaction. She especially loved helping the preemies and little children through their surgeries. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and, recently, two daughters-in-law.

She is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She wants us all to know that she “thoroughly enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great (now great-great) grandmother.” Hilda’s eternal wish is that we all “live as forgiven children of God.”

There will be no formal service arranged. The family will hold a private scattering of her ashes at a future date.
