Howie Pitts

1968 - 2025

Mr. Raymond Howard “Howie” Pitts, 57, of Marshville, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, at his home.  Born August 22, 1968, in Melrose, Mass, he was a son of Anita Michaud Pitts and the late Raymond Henry Pitts.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Howie will be 11 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2026, from the Morgan & Son Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish Howie’s memory include his wife, Joyce McIntire-Pitts; daughter, Stacy McIntire (Patrick Lewis); son, Shawn King (Jillian); sisters, Katherine Deveraux, Gayle Hills, Melissa Cacas (Anthony); Brother, Frank Pitts (Marsha), many nieces and nephews.

Howie spent 4 years proudly serving in the US Navy and continued supporting veterans as a member of the American Legion and Legion Riders. As a lifelong mechanic, there was nothing he could not fix. He made friends everywhere he went with his huge heart and volunteered his skills to help anyone who needed anything. He was full of life and one of his favorite things was making those around him laugh and he never missed an opportunity to tell a dad joke. Howie cherished his fur babies, Cinder, Ember and Buddy and there wasn't a dog that could walk by without getting a pat. Anyone who met him knew how special he was and he will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to American Legion, via their website in your area, Stanly County Humane Society in Albemarle, NC.
