I played baseball for many years with Ian. He was a good guy. Very friendly and enthusiastic. Never a bad word about anyone.

I have memories of Ian from our junior high years. He was a good pal, and supportive friend in that time of transition. Watched him grow into young adulthood at NK High, though we were not close then. So sorry he passed on so young. He was so genuinely good. My sincere condolences to his family. - Bess Zarafonitis Stroh, NK Class of 1975.

My condolences go out to the entire MacCrae family. I met Ian years ago when he coached me on a Sr Babe Ruth baseball team that won the RI State Championship. What a great summer that was as we traveled to Keen New Hampshire for the regionals. Years later we connected again on a professional level and I enjoyed talking sports both past and present with him. He certainly had a love for the game. He will be missed.
