Ida Cardelli Obituary
Ida Cardelli, 93, a longtime resident of Barrington Hills, Illinois, died peacefully at home in Wheaton on Sunday, June 18.
She was born on March 27 to Arno and Mickey Ghilardi.
Loving wife of the late Leo Cardelli; beloved mother of the late Linda Cardelli; the late Cary (Kathy Stange) Cardelli; and Corinne (Dave) Eiznhamer, cherished Nonna to Christopher (Tiffany) Cardelli, Kara Cardelli, Lisa (Scott) Turyna, Joel (Elaina) Ebert and the late Katherine Cardelli; fond great-grandmother of Cole, Miles, Lily, Lucy, Jovie,Kai and Isaac; devoted sister of Arnold.
Ida loved nothing more than cooking for, and spending time with her family, as well as hosting friends and loved ones.
She shared her gifts and talents with several organizations, including Kiwanis, Catholic Charities and Michael Joseph Foundation.
A visitation will be held June 20, 2023 from 3:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL. A funeral mass will be held June 21, 2023 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Kenneth Young Center, https://www.kennethyoung.org/ Mental Health services, Youth Empowerment Programs and Older Adult Services, or Wings https://wingsprogram.com/ Breaking the cycle of domestic violence.

Ida was one of my favorite people in this world. Her love of life, God and family were an inspiration. I treasure the few times I spent with her, and am grateful I knew her. I always echo one thing she would often say: looking up toward heaven, "We're not in charge". So wise, kind, and fun to be with. I'm sure her family misses her already. Ida was a wonderful loving woman and a good friend to my late mother, Anne Karacic. We worked on the Barrington Committee of Arden Shore for many years hosting its annual gala. I learned a lot from Ida May she rest in peace.

Ida was a dear friend of my Mom, Char McPherson. Ida and Char met at Alto Assisted Living in Wheaton and shared many wonderful memories. Ida was so kind and supportive when Char passed away a bit unexpectedly on March 5th. I am confident that Ida and Char have reconnected in heaven and are solving all of the world’s problems!!
