Ida Sutton Obituary
Ida Pearl Floyd Sutton, age 93, of Fairmont, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 13, 1928 in Robeson County, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will Augustus Floyd and Lula Walters Floyd; her husband, Horace Clifton Sutton, Sr. and a daughter-in-law, Patricia West Sutton.
She is survived by her children: Carolyn Sutton Royal and husband Joe, Horace "Clifton" Sutton, Jr., Stinson Sutton and wife Annette Surles Sutton, and Danny Sutton and wife Penny Ivey Sutton; two brothers, Johnny Floyd and Willie Floyd; seven grandchildren: Michael Sutton, Deidra Sutton, Sarah Strickland, Steven Surles, Melanie McClellan, Lana Sutton, and Scott Sutton; thirteen great-grandchildren: Silas, Kathryn, Abel, Braeden, Larkin, Kristi, Savannah, Logan, Aidan, Courtlyn, Blythe, Matthew, and Kirsten; three great-great-grandchildren, Drew and Erica Grace; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2:00PM at Broadridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Orrum, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Centerville Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 3121 Centerville Church Road, Fairmont, NC 28340.
