Irene B. Hein, nee Bailey, age 88, beloved wife of the late Roy A. Hein; loving mother of Jean Irene Hein, Russell Joseph (Jennifer) Hein, and the late Richard Fred Hein; dear grandmother of Zech Cline, and Brett, Brady, and Bernie Hein; cherished sister of the late Eugene, Norman, Patricia, Shirley, Joan, and Jacqueline; fond aunt of many. There will be a memorial visitation at the Skaja Terrace Funeral Home 7812 N. Milwaukee Avenue Niles on Saturday January 31, 2026 from 12 Noon until time of service 2:00 PM. While I have never met Irene, I am a big fan of Jean Marie and know her through the Narrative Medicine program. For Jean Marie to have become such an intelligent, creative, empathic, joyful person most certainly is in no small part due to the parenting by Irene. Jean Marie, I am sorry for your loss and hope to see you soon. The Narrative Medicine team is fully behind you as you walk through this difficulty and can help you no matter how many times you stumble.
