Jac Dale Metcalf, 67 of Chipley, passed from this life on August 15, 2022 at Signature Healthcare in Graceville, Florida.
Dale was born on April 29, 1955 in Orlando, Florida to Jack and Nancy Harrell Metcalf. Dale was a graduate of Niceville High School class of 1973. He served his country in the United States Navy. Dale worked at Woodalls in Marianna in the HVAC industry as well as the Florida Department of Corrections and Florida Department of Transportation before his retirement. An avid sports fan, he had many favorite teams including the New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Manchester City. He served as a former Chairman of the Washington County Democratic Executive Committee. Dale also enjoyed spending his time outdoors golfing and fishing off the pier with his beloved wife, Gina. Dale loved cooking and watching all the cooking shows to come up with recipes. He was a lover of music, especially classic rock, and enjoyed going to concerts.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Gina Metcalf of Chipley, Florida; brother: Gary Metcalf of Vernon, Florida; aunt: Martha Baker of Jacksonville, Florida; cousins: Cindy, Julie, Richard and Robin all of Jacksonville, Florida; his beloved animals: Jocie, Misty, and Stevie Ray.
A celebration of life will be held 3 PM Tuesday September 6, 2022 at Obert Funeral Home. Obert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Obert Funeral Home.
