Jacari Unique McSwain, affectionately known as Man Man or Man, beloved son, brother, grandson, and nephew passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2025, at the age of 20. Born in Hampton, Virginia on August 26, 2005, to Corey McSwain and Rhesa Williams, Jacari grew up surrounded by the love of close family and friends.
A graduate of Heritage High School, Jacari went on to pursue careers at Jason Deli and Huntington Ingalls Industries, where he developed his strong work ethic and pursuit of career advancement. Outside of work, Jacari enjoyed sports such as baseball, football, and boxing, where many mentored him and aided him in developing his passion. Jacari’s other passion included youth mentorship where he aspired to reach troubled youth and help them with redirecting their lives in a positive direction.
Jacari is survived by his mother, Rhesa Williams, his sisters, Amani McSwain, Jayda McSwain, Keia Williams, Shadae Packett, Sheila McCray (Desiree), and Kiyah Boggs. Brothers, Caleb McSwain, Jacob McSwain, Chosen Gilliam, and Jaheem Scott, grandparents, Alma Williams, Herbert Williams (Nina), Gloria Weathers (Henry), and Gloria Moore. Aunts, Kenya Haskins (Larry), Eboni Williams, Shemiah Brewington (Jeremy), and LaToya Alexander. Uncle, John “Pinky” McSwain (Ronesha), father figure, Sherod Gilliam, first cousins, Heiress Duck, Alayna Duck, Loyal Haskins, Legacy Haskins, Skylar Brewington, London Brewington, Teaqua White, JaQuana Alexander, Taja Alexander, Samia McSwain, Endyia McSwain, Mahan McSwain, and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jacari is preceded in death by his father, Corey McSwain, first cousin, Travuan Rouser, grandfather, John McSwain II, and great grandparents; paternally and maternally.
Jacari will be remembered for his rarely shown dimples, his sense of humor, and his love to those that were close to him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Viewing will be held Saturday November 29, 2025 from 11am up until service time starting @ 1:00pm at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home Inc., 4304 Victoria Blvd Hampton, VA 23669.
