Jack P. Sumnarski

1931 - 2026

Jack P. Sumnarski of River Forest formerly of Elmwood Park, age 94. Beloved husband of the late Louise A. Sumnarski (nee Sobray); loving father of Sue (Mark) Menna; proud grandfather of Paige and Luke Menna; dear brother of the late Geraldine (late Jack) Jundt. 

Jack enjoyed gourmet cooking, tennis, duck carving and watching his grandchildren grow up. Jack met Louise at Foreman High School. They followed each other to Bradley University and married soon afterwards. Their endless love story lasted for 80+ years, as they were married for 72 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Oak Park Country Club, 2001 N. Thatcher, River Grove from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Alzheimer’s Assoc. (www.alz.org) or the Anti-Cruelty Society (www.anticruelty.org). Arrangements entrusted to Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home.
