Mrs. Jackie Yvonne Bowlin age 88 of Wesley Mtn. Drive Blairsville passed away peacefully on Sunday March 29, 2026 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Bowlin was born on March 7, 1938 in Kingsport, TN., the daughter of the late Willet Anderson and the late Illa Smith Anderson. Jackie lived her life caring about others, volunteering for over twenty years at the Gwinnett Hospital and she and her husband Jack were Camp Hosts for the Corps of Engineers at Lake Lanier for many years. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She adored her great grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and also four brothers, Arthur and Curtis Anderson, Gary and Ronnie Mack Reeves. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dacula, GA.
Surviving Mrs. Bowlin are her loving husband and best friend of seventy one years, Jack Bowlin of Blairsville, one daughter and son in law, Sandy and Steve Gallogly of Suches, GA., one son and daughter in law, Kelly and Sharon Bowlin of Lilburn, GA., one sister, Brenda White of Gastonia, NC., two grandchildren, Patrick and Emily Gallogly, James and Gina Gallogly, four great grandchildren, Jack, Clara, Cora and Catherine, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A Celebration of life service will be held at a later date at Branon Lodge and will be announced. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Gaston Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Wesley Woods Foundation in care of Branon Lodge in Mrs. Bowlin’s memory.
