Jackie Groth, Jr. Obituary
Jackie L. Groth, Jr., 48, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital.
He was born September 19, 1968, to Jackie L. and Barbara (Lueck) Groth, Sr. He married Stephanie Bradley on September 18, 1998, in Springfield and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Cheyenne, Jacqueline and Clayton; grandchildren, James and Jaylee; mother, Barbara Groth; siblings, Jill (Dave) Laub, Christine Groth and James Groth; grandmother, Eileen Lueck and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Jackie was a roofer for over 30 years and employed with Henson Robinson Company. He was a member of Roofers Local #112. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, hunting, riding 4-wheelers and watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor James Hennig officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Jackie Groth Memorial Fund at any Bank of Springfield location.

So sorry to learn of Jackie's passing. I had not seen him since he graduated from Trinity Luth. Grade School. I was his teacher in K., 1st and 3rd grade. I have fond memories of him in my classes.

I have very fond memories of Jackie. He and I hung out and discovered life together when my parents would visit his from Michigan. Our families even went to Niagara Falls together for vacation which I have great stories to tell about that trip. My prayers go out to the family. I will always treasure the fun Jackie and I had when we were young.
