On September 9, 2021, Jacob (Jake) Andrew Ramsdell, 31, of Lawrenceville, Georgia died by suicide.
Jake was proud of his service in the U.S. Army. During his service, he deployed to Iraq and moved up the ranks from helicopter mechanic to crew chief. He loved everything to do with cars and motorcycles. He had a passion for high performance race cars. He could impressively dismantle an engine and reassemble it while completely understanding it’s function. He was incredibly smart, had an infectious smile, and charming way about him.
Jake is survived by his three children Hayden, Jacob Jr., and Jaxon who he loved dearly. He is also survived by his sister, Mackenzie; parents, Jennifer and Jeffrey; grandmother, Elayne; and wife, Laura.
Jake will always be remembered for his ability to bring comedy and goofiness into any situation, and his ability to keep trying during difficult times. Even though he took his life, we know he is at rest and no longer in pain. May he rest with his fallen brothers. Hope you are drifting cars on clouds up there.
A memorial service for Mr. Ramsdell will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion post # 38.
Pulaski Funeral home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.

Breaks my heart every time I think of this. Jake was a true friend that would give the shirt off his back. I hate that I lost contact only to find the unfortunate news. Until Valhalla

I do not know you or the circumstances, but as a daughter of a young mother who committed suicide, my heart and prayers go out to the family, especially the children. May God bring peace and comfort.
